January 27th, my birthday, was fun. The Friday, my parents took me out to a nice dinner at Wildfire Steakhouse. The next night, a bunch of the guys got together at Ravi's house. True to the geeks that we are, we played some Wii before heading out to the new pub in our neighbourhood, called The Queen's Head. It was a fun evening, smaller than some previous birthdays, but still a great time. I ended up getting a new camera tripod (goodbye old and busted, hello new hotness), Tetris DS (don't laugh, Tetris is the shit, I love it), and a bunch of cold hard cash (some of which will be used to purchase a new distortion pedal). I'm now on a co-op term, working at Embarcadero Technologies as a Software Development Intern. I like the job; really laid-back, casual office, good pay, and difficult but fulfilling work. Plus, all the free softdrinks and juice I want!

In other news, I think the TTC hates me. In the one month that I've been working downtown, I've had either the bus or streetcar I was on, go out of service, forcing me to either walk or wait for the next one, three times, two of which were on consecutive days. Damn you TTC, and get some more reliable vehicles!
